Eddie and John embarked on ”That Other Long Trek” in 2006, channeling historic Route 66 as they meandered across the country from Oberlin, Ohio to Los Angeles, California. They turned right at LA and rode the California 1 to San Francisco. This ride helped raise funds for pancreatic cancer research.

Eddie and John rode ”That Other Long Trek” from Oberlin, Ohio to Fairbanks, Alaska. They turned left at Fairbanks and rode to Anchorage via Denali. This event benefited an orphanage in Guatemala, providing direct funds.

John traveled alone on The Trek 520, close cousin to “That Long Trek.” This ride benefited a community in Las Carpas, Nicaragua. Funds were used directly to finance a 105-Foot pedestrian bridge, which John helped design and build. The bridge was Installed to facilitate travel to school for local community members. Construction was entirely voluntary.
