An homage to a hero, speaking in my hometown 60 years ago. How far we’ve come. How far to go.

America is for everyone. It was founded on this principle, and so we must reinforce it. I hope the money I raise will help enlighten young people, and continue the quest for knowledge, which I am convinced will lead us to equality. That’s why I am doing this. It’s for me, and it’s for my country! I love the United States of America, but I love it more when we actively reinforce our values: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, independent of race, religion, or gender.
We hold these truths to be self evident.

That Long Trek is a reincarnation of That Other Long Trek, which traversed the North American west, from LA to Fairbanks, and once owned The Greeley Hill in Portland, Oregon. That Other Long Trek was stolen. That Long Trek (pictured) has replaced it. That Long Trek will soon traverse a path from Cape Flattery, Washington to Miami, Florida. The route is chosen because it connects the most Northwestern point in the Contiguous United States to the most Southeastern point.
